Pakistan Information Minister Left Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Pakistan after successful visit
Islamabad: Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan along with her delegation, departed Saudi Arabia early today at the end of her 7-day official visit to Saudi Arabia. She was seen off at the King Khaled international airport, Riyadh, by high ranking Saudi Ministry officials, Saudi Education Ministry personnel, protocol officers, Pakistani nationals, and the Pakistan Charge de Affairs, Mr. Ayaz Muhammad Khan, says a press release received here today from Jeddah.
Dr. Firdous thanked the Saudi government and the Ministry of Education for their kind hospitality and care accorded to her and to the members of her delegation. She said that her visit to Saudi Arabia was successful and would further cement the bilateral ties enjoyed between the two brotherly countries. She said that during her visit, she concluded a number of understandings with Saudi high ups that will facilitate new ways for cooperation.
During her visit, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan had meetings with Saudi Minister for Culture and Information, Vice Minister for Education, Rectors of a number of Saudi Women universities, including Nourah University, the head of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce’s Women Wing. She also visited Effat University, Charity Organizations and the Central museum in Riyadh. She also met Journalists, Editors and media men, Pakistani journalists based in the Kingdom, and visited the largest regional daily, Okaz Complex.
The Minister’s visit will open new vistas and venues for cooperation and strengthening of bilateral issues between the two brotherly countries, especially in media and women education.
