Islamabad: Pakistan and Kuwait have reaffirmed their resolve to further consolidate their historic and brotherly relations into a strong, enduring, and mutually beneficial defence partnership. The understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and a high-level Kuwaiti delegation led by Minister of Defence Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait, Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan, was also part of the delegation. The two sides engaged in discussions covering matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation. Both parties expressed a commitment to enhance institutional ties and expand mutually beneficial defence collaboration between the two countries.

The Kuwaiti delegation expressed appreciation for the professionalism, operational excellence, and valuable contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability. Additionally, the engagement reaffirmed the shared resolve to strengthen defence cooperation in a manner that contributes to peace, security, and stability in the region.
