Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ship SHAMSHEER recently took part in the operation named ‘Talon Grip One’ as a part of its deployment in the Gulf of Oman, where it is engaged in Regional Maritime Security Patrols under the aegis of the Pakistan-led Multinational Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150).
According to Pakistan Navy, the focus of this deployment is to enhance regional maritime security and ensure the surveillance of national and international sea lines of communication. During its mission, PNS SHAMSHEER also conducted a Passage Exercise with the Royal Navy Ship HMS LANCASTER. This exercise aimed to boost synergy and mutual understanding between the two navies, showcasing their ability to undertake combined operations within the region.
The Pakistan Navy emphasizes its ongoing commitment to maintaining a robust presence in the Indian Ocean. This endeavor not only supports counter-piracy and anti-narcotics operations but also strengthens collaborations with regional and international partners operating in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). These efforts are part of a broader strategy to foster collective maritime security and stability.
