Pakistan Protests to India Over Border Incident

Islamabad:Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with India following the killing of two Pakistani civilians by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in the Bedian Sector along the International Border. The incident occurred on Friday, prompting Pakistan to summon the Indian Charg© d'Affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Office in Islamabad issued a press release condemning the use of force by Indian BSF personnel as unprovoked, unjustified, and disproportionate. The tragic death of the civilians was highlighted as a grave violation of fundamental human rights, including the right to life, under international law.

Pakistan dismissed any attempts to label the deceased as "infiltrators" and called for India to conduct an immediate, transparent, and credible investigation into the incident. Islamabad urged that disciplinary and legal action be taken against those responsible, with the findings communicated to the Pakistani government.

India has also been urged by Pakistan to respect fundamental human rights and international law, adhere to bilateral agreements, exercise restraint in handling such situations, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences of similar incidents.
