Pakistan, Saudi Arabia strategic partners: Consul General of Pakistan

Islamabad: The Consul General of Pakistan, Abdul Salik Khan, called on the Governor of Najran Region, HRH Prince Mishal Bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz in his Office today and discussed with him matters of mutual interest, says a press release received from Jeddah here today.

The Consul General said that the Kingdom under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, has made tremendous progress in all sectors of the economy and his vision has made it a strong and stable country. The Consul General said that the Kingdom and its leadership is source of strength for the Muslim Ummah and they look towards Saudi leadership for their guidance.

The Consul General said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed close fraternal relations which have stood test of the time. He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were strategic partners and the two states share common strategic vision. He said that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan during difficult times.

The Consul General also brought to the notice of the HRH Prince Mishal bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz some urgent problems of the Pakistani community in Nijran Region.

HRH Prince Mishal bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz said that Pakistan was a brotherly country and was dear to the Saudi leadership. He appreciated the contributions of Pakistani community in the development and prosperity of the Kingdom. He assured the Consul General of resolving the problems of Pakistani community in Najran region on priority basis.

Earlier the Consul General held a meeting with the Pakistani Community in Nijran Region and discussed with them issues relating to their welfare. The Consul General assured the community that all possible steps would be taken to enhance their comforts and resolve their problems.
