Islamabad, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that Pakistan is looking to strengthen its collaboration with the United Kingdom in combating cybercrimes and narcotics, a move aimed at enhancing the country’s capabilities in these critical areas.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his recent visit to London, Minister Naqvi met with key British officials including James Babbage, Director General of the National Crime Agency, and Jonathan Allen, Director General National Security of the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. These discussions culminated in an agreement to train Pakistani officers in handling cybercrimes and counter-narcotics efforts through the expertise of the National Crime Agency.

Minister Naqvi underscored the importance of enhanced bilateral cooperation in addressing the challenges posed by drug trafficking and cyber security threats. Furthermore, his visit to the Cabinet Office National Situation Center in London provided insights into advanced operational frameworks, which Pakistan is considering adopting to bolster its own national security measures.
