Pakistan Stone Development Company, United Industrial Development Organization display marble mosaic products in Career Expo 2013

Islamabad, April 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) in collaboration with its partner, United Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) displayed marble mosaic products in Career Expo 2013 at Bahria University.

More than 58 Stalls were there including Moftak Solutions, Maroof international Hospital, PTCL, Roots school system, SNL, Eni, IBM, Telenor, Ufone, Wi tribe, SECP, Nestle, Telenor, Faysal Asset Management, YES, Data Focal, ZONG, United Nations, Zigron, Askari Investment Management, Information architects, Evamp and Saanga, Knowledge Kottage, Cyber Vision, Hashoo Foundation, PEL, Secure Tech, CRNP, addictive tips, Nexus Telecom, Ovex Tech, Mobizone, TiE Islamabad, Ali Akbar Group, Metro Casy and Carry, CiMA,Universal Human Aid, Brightspyre, Converge, Launch Pad, Oves Technologies, Makkays, Konket, Islamic Relief, EES, Gen Zee Solutions, Spyko, Channel 7, Scrybe, YNP and Elixir.

The stall of Pakistan Stone Development Company under the umbrella of Business Growth Center of UNIDO and First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) remained in the center of attention because of their wonderful eye catching mosaic items.

Information was provided to young graduates that PASDEC is promoting the enterprise household models to support women enterprising activities for generating employment in rural labor market and produce value-added product of marble and granite, such as mosaic which is used in furniture and interior decoration equally.

A large number of visitors showed keen interest in marble Mosaic based products. Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral ® Shahid Iqbal was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. He described that the exhibition is a successful activity, which provide a great opportunity to the young participants to learn about marble mosaic products.

It was need of the hour to join hands to impart technical training to women so that they could lead their families with dignity, and young graduates can start thier own business set up instead of job seekers, he added.

He also said that women had a great potential to attain skill development like marble mosaic training for poverty alleviation in rural areas.UNIDO National Program Coordinator Shahina Waheed said “it’s a remarkably organized event and I commend all partners for their great support.
