Pakistani Consul General, Saudi Governor discuss bilateral ties

Islamabad: The Consul General of Pakistan Abdul Salik Khan called on the Governor of Jeezan Region HRH Prince Muhammad Bin Nasir Bin Abdul Aziz and discussed with him matters of mutual interest, says a press release received from Jeddah here today.

The Consul General said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were strategic partners and their fraternal relations have stood the test of time. He said that the recent visit of President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari and his meeting with Custodian of two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, has further cemented fraternal relations between the two countries. He said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were source of strength for each other.

The Consul General said that Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan during difficult times for which we are grateful to the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia.

The Council General said that the Pakistani community in Jeezan was feeling comfortable and appreciated the policies of the Saudi Government.

The Governor of Jeezan Region, HRH Prince Muhammad Bin Nasir Bin Abdul Aziz welcomed the Consul General and said that Pakistan was an important Muslim country and was very dear to the Saudi people and its leadership. He said that Pakistani community in the Kingdom was peaceful. He appreciated their contribution in the economic development and prosperity of the Kingdom.

Earlier the Consul General held a separate meeting with Ali Bin Ahad Al-Harbi, Director General (Labour), Jeezan region and Dr. Mohsin Saddiq Tabbiqee, Director General (Health) Jeezan, region and discussed with them the problems confronting Pakistan community in the region. Both the DG’s assured the Consul General of maximum support and favour to resolve problems of Pakistani community in the Jeezan region on priority basis.
