Pakistanis in Saudia making valuable contributions for economy: Firdous, Minister for Information
Islamabad: Pakistan Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Pakistanis working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are making valuable contributions towards the economy of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. She said this while addressing a gathering of Pakistani community from Sialkot living in Riyadh, says a press release received here today from Riyadh, Jeddah.
The Minister said that democracy in Pakistan was gaining strength and the country’s leadership was in strong hands. The Minister said that discontinuity of economic policies and derailing of democracy in the past has slowed down economic progress of the country. She assured the Pakistani community that the economic and energy problems confronting Pakistan would soon be overcome. She said that she wanted to make Sialkot a hub of economic and media activities for which she has taken various steps. She said that a Women College of Sialkot has already been approved by the Prime Minister. She said that an IT Campus would be established besides a cricket stadium in the city. The Minister said that a Sweet Home for one hundred would also be established in Sialkot.
The Minister said that the Pakistani community living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was the Ambassadors of their country and a source of strengthening relations between the two countries. She appreciated their hard work and contributions. She thanked the Saudi leadership for providing congenial working atmosphere for the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia.
