Houston: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, recently concluded a significant three-day visit to Texas, focusing on strengthening economic, cultural, and community links between Pakistan and Texas.

According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Sheikh’s itinerary was packed with high-profile meetings, including discussions with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and other key political and business figures. He explored opportunities for cooperation in IT, agriculture, textiles, and sports. In Houston, he inaugurated the first-ever Pakistan Literature Festival, emphasizing the role of arts and public diplomacy in enhancing bilateral relations. His engagements with the Ismaili community and participation in a send-off ceremony for medical equipment to Pakistan highlighted his visit.

The Ambassador also discussed enhancing Pak-US bilateral relations, regional, and global issues with Congressman Lance Carter Gooden in Dallas, and promoted Pakistan’s trade and investment potential to the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce-USA. Throughout his visit, Ambassador Sheikh lauded the contributions of the Pakistani diaspora, recognizing them as vital to the ongoing strengthening of Pak-US relations.
