Pharmaceutical industry is on the path of development due to the efforts of Special Investment Facilitation Council. An increase of 3.90 percent was witnessed in the exports of medicines during the financial year 2023-24 as compared to the previous year. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the pharmaceutical exports for the current fiscal year reached 341 million dollars as compared to 328 million dollars recorded in the previous fiscal year. In terms of quantity, pharmaceutical exports also increased by forty four percent from 59,00 metric tons to 85,00 metric tons.
