Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the successful completion of the team auction for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement in Islamabad today, he appreciated the efforts of PCB Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi and his team involved in organizing the PSL. The Prime Minister said that the league has revived the spirit of sports in the country and gradually established itself among the leading cricket leagues in the region. He described the inclusion of two new teams in the PSL auction as a major milestone for the promotion of cricket in Pakistan, adding that the addition of new franchises has infused fresh energy into the league. Highlighting the significance of foreign investment in the new teams, the Prime Minister said it is a clear reflection of the PSL's growing international popularity and success. Shehbaz Sharif further stated that this year's PSL will not only entertain cricket fans across the coun try, but will also provide opportunities to young talent.
