Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the federal government is committed to working closely with the newly elected Gilgit-Baltistan government for the welfare of the people of the region. He was talking to Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain who called on him in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized that the federal government is undertaking development initiatives in renewable energy, tourism, infrastructure, health, education, and other sectors for the wellbeing of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the government's priority projects include a 100-megawatt solar power project and the establishment of Daanish Schools in the region.
Furthermore, the government is planning to establish Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Centre in Gilgit to facilitate the people of the region, as mentioned by the Prime Minister. He also took the opportunity to congratulate Amjad Hussain on assuming the office of Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
