Washington: Meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US President Donald Trump is very crucial in the background of cordial relationship between both the countries. This meeting is taking place not on the sidelines of UNGA session in New York but it is taking place in Washington and it reflects the bilateral quantum of this meeting. So it is deemed to be a bilateral meeting between the countries as our prime minister has especially flown to the US capital therefore this meeting is very important. This meeting also reflects the importance of both the countries for each other. Off course prime minister will touch issues related to bilateral contacts and thanks President Trump for his constructive role in maintenance of regional peace as he brought about ceasefire between Pakistan and India. Pakistan side will also press the US side to persuade India to come to negotiation table to resolve the outstanding issues between the countries because peace in the region is not possible without resolution of unre solved issues. It will be very important discussion. Pakistan will also thank the US administration for playing constructive role in convincing International Monetary Fund (IMF) for striking deal with Pakistan.

Amb. Ahmad noted that the meeting would cover various topics, including bilateral contacts and the Prime Minister expressing gratitude to President Trump for his role in maintaining regional peace, particularly in facilitating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India. The Pakistani delegation is expected to urge the US to encourage India to engage in negotiations to resolve outstanding issues, as regional peace is contingent on addressing these unresolved matters. Additionally, Pakistan will extend its thanks to the US administration for its constructive role in persuading the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reach a deal with Pakistan.
