Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has concluded his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia where he addressed the One Water Summit and proposed a six-point agenda at the global level to overcome water-related challenges. The visit underscored Pakistan’s commitment to addressing climate change-induced challenges, particularly those faced by developing countries.
According to Radio Pakistan, on the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz also met Saudi Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The two leaders agreed to bring about a qualitative change in the bilateral ties and expressed satisfaction over the pace of implementation of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements signed by their countries.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz met with French President Emmanuel Macron. During their meeting, both sides agreed to promote business-to-business cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock, information technology, vocational skills, and clean drinki
ng water. This cooperation aims to strengthen economic ties and foster innovation and growth in these key sectors.
