PM Shehbaz Sharif Hails Productive Visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has described his recent visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar as highly successful, emphasizing their potential to bolster Pakistan’s economy. The Prime Minister shared these remarks while presiding over a Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad on Monday, highlighting the positive outcomes of his diplomatic engagements.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his interaction with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister Sharif received expressions of goodwill towards Pakistan. He announced that a Pakistani delegation will soon travel to Saudi Arabia to engage in further discussions on various topics, including Saudi investment in sectors such as mining, minerals, and agriculture.

The Prime Minister also reflected positively on his visit to Qatar, where he engaged in discussions with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, in Doha. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly regarding Qatar’s pledged investment
of three billion dollars in Pakistan. Additionally, a delegation from the Qatar Investment Authority is expected to visit Pakistan shortly, followed by a visit from the Chairman of the Qatar Investment Authority at the end of the month.

During his visits, the Saudi Crown Prince expressed interest in importing skilled labor from Pakistan, while the Emir of Qatar indicated plans to establish an IT Park in the country. Furthermore, Azerbaijan has also shown interest in investing two billion dollars in Pakistan, augmenting the potential economic benefits from these diplomatic efforts.
