In connection with International Labour Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a luncheon in honour of labourers and their families at his residence in Lahore on Wednesday. He also interacted with the families of the workers. On the occasion, the Prime Minister assured the labourers that the government is fully aware of their problems and will leave no stone unturned to ensure their welfare, development, progress and prosperity. He said the development of Pakistan is linked with the prosperity of labourers. Shehbaz Sharif urged businessmen and investors to accord top priority to the welfare of their workers while formulating policies. He said the government fully acknowledges the hard work of labourers and is determined to ensure their welfare and prosperity. He also urged businessmen and investors to take care of the development and welfare of their workers as Pakistan cannot make progress without the prosperity of labourers. The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistan will make progress if investo rs and labourers work in unison under a judicious system.
