Closed

Islamabad, November 06, 2016 (PPI-OT):Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders on Sunday asked the government to take all stakeholders into confidence over game changer project of CPEC as mounting political tensions on the project are against the national interests. Authorities should not allow anyone to disrupt the project which is set to change the destiny of Pakistan, said Patron Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Shahid Rasheed Butt.

In a statement issued here today, he said that those who are raising objections on different facets of CPEC should be taken into confidence so that the fate changing project can be completed well in time. Shahid Rasheed Butt said that politicians of province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan should be taken on board and their reservations should be tackled properly.

Despite global recession and slowdown in major economics the CPEC will create seven hundred thousand jobs while it will as 2 to 2.5 percent to the national GDP, he added. This project is equal to seventeen percent of our GDP which will result in rapid growth but it require solidarity and satisfaction of Chinese government as well as local and international investors, he observed.

The veteran business leader said that our politicians should know that there is a limit to the patience of Chinese therefore we must shun differences therefore all those elements opposing the project should be taken on board immediately otherwise the tensions will frustrate investors and benefit the enemies of the corridor.
