Prices of Various Commodities at Utility Stores have been reduced: Chaudhry Parvez Elahi

Islamabad: Ch. Shujat Hussain President Pakistan Muslim League, Ch. Parvez Elahi Senior Federal Minister for Industries and Defence Production and Muhammad Basharat Raja Advisor to Prime Minister on Industries visited today the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) Head office, Islamabad. Managing Director USC briefed the Senior Minister regarding the services offered by corporation to the general public. The Senior Minister asked to make it sure that more and more facilities are provided to the masses at cheaper rates. In this regard, the corporation has instantly reduced the prices of 133 different commodities up to 5.38 percent. In pursuance of the directions of the Senior Minister, the prices of 133 different items have been reduced.

With immediate effect, the price of Dal Channa has been reduced 66 to 64; Dal Masoor 92 to 85; Masoor whole 82 to 75; Moong washed 144 to 138; Mash washed 132 to 120 and Black Gram 65 to 60 Rupees per KG. The prices of cooking oil, Dals, milk, soap and shampoo have also been reduced from 5 to 13 rupees per item. Senior Federal Minister also ordered to sell 20kg USC aata bag 20 rupees less than the market rate. The detail of some items is given as under:-

Ch. Shujat Hussain directed the USC Management to prepare a special Ramzan Package keeping in view the demands of the people. It was decided in the briefing that Senior Federal Minister will hold a meeting with all the suppliers/Vendors of USC to ask them to cooperate with the USC for providing cheaper commodities to the people. Advisor to Prime Minister on Industries, while appreciating the performance of USC, directed the corporation to do the needful on urgent basis.
