‘Punjab to lift stocks from sugar mills at Rs140 per kg to curb price hike’

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsen Naqvi has said provincial government will sell sugar at special stalls at model bazaars and Sunday bazaars.

Talking to a delegation of sugar mill owners in Lahore on Sunday, he said sugar mill owners will sell sugar to provincial government at a rate of 140 rupees per kg and this reduction in sugar prices will directly benefit the people of the province.

The delegation informed the Chief Minister that an abundant stock of sugar is available in Punjab.
