Punjab University Gender Studies department organizes seminar
Lahore: Punjab University Department of Gender Studies’ students, under the supervision of department Lecturer Ms. Nazia Abdul Ghaffar, organized a seminar on “Participatory Approach and Experience Sharing on Women in Politics.” Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Shehzad Saeed Cheema of PPP was the keynote speaker.
Shehzad Saeed Cheema delivered a lecture on significance of women’s participation in politics. He said late Mohtarma Benazir Bhuttoo and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah were two of the role models for women of Pakistan who would possess pain for their nation. He said both genders should come forward through politics to serve their nation.
Incharge Department Prof Dr Samar Fatima, in her welcome address, said political figures were encouraged to visit the department and share their experiences and motivations with the students.
