Qazi Hussain’s demise profoundly grieves Kashmiri leaders
Srinagar, January 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Qazi Hussain Ahmad, who passed away in Islamabad, on Saturday night.
Senior APHC leader, Bilal Gani Lone and other Hurriyet leaders including, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zafar Akbar Butt, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Yasmeen Raja and Muhammad Yousuf Naqash in their separate statements said that Qazi Hussain Ahmad was a great champion of the Kashmir cause. They said that the late leader always raised his voice for the cause of the Kashmiris.
On the other hand, other liberation leaders including Syed Salah-ud-Din, Tufail Altaf Butt and Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan who participated in funeral prayers of the deceased leader at Peshawar termed the demise as an irreparable loss for the politics of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Dal Khalsa Spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh expressing his condolences over Qazi Hussain Ahmad’s death said that he was a friend of Sikhs and supported the Sikhs’ right to self-determination wholeheartedly.
He said Qazi Sahib was one of the most prominent religious personalities in Pakistan having deep ideological leanings. “I know him personally, he was simple, sober but a determined person. He had very cordial rapport with struggling Sikh leadership”.
