Rain emergency cell established at Chief Minister House to handle emergency situation during monsoon rains

Karachi, June 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): On the directives of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, a “Rain Emergency Cell” has been established at Chief Minister’s Secretariat/House Karachi, which will function round the clock to monitor the issues related to the rains throughout the province.

According to a notification issued here today, the cell will function under the supervision of Additional Secretary Coordination and will be in contact with the cells established for this purpose by provincial Relief Commissioner, Commissioners as well as Deputy Commissioners of concerned Districts.

A comprehensive daily report will be submitted to Honourable Chief Minister Sindh to keep him updated about the rain related issues and efforts made by the concerned authorities. Private Secretary Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Section Officers Mr. Ali Gul Sanjrani and Mr. Muhammad Khan and one DSP have been assigned to perform their duties in the in the Rain Emergency Cell.
