Relevant departments including DDMA and Rescue 1122 have started the process of evacuation from low-lying areas, temporary settlements and agricultural land adjacent to the river bank.

In this regard, PDMA, DDMA and Rescue 1222 have been further instructed to seek assistance from other districts to meet the requirement of additional rescue equipment including boats.

Meanwhile, according to the previously released report of NDMA, an increase in water flow has been recorded from Harike to Ferozepur and Ganda Singhwala during the last 24 hours.

Instructions have been issued to PDMA Punjab, DDMA, Rescue 1122, security forces and local administration to monitor the situation continuously while maintaining active communication.
