Repressive policy by authorities against Kashmiris denounced
Srinagar, March 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Jamat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir has condemned the repressive policy adopted by the puppet administration against Kashmiris which leads to violation of their all fundamental rights. The JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the ongoing mass-level arrest of Hurriyet leaders and activists was one part of the policy and unprovoked firing and use of brute force upon the hapless people peacefully demonstrating against the injustices perpetrated upon them was the other part of it but such tactics had always failed to stop them from their rightful struggle.
He said the house arrest of APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and other leaders was quite contradictory to the basic human rights of life and liberty and freedom of speech and expression.
He said similarly physical assault on JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yaseen Malik at New Delhi airport by some communal elements was nothing but sheer goondaism having no place in a real democracy.
Jamaat-e-Islami stressed the Indian government to give up the tyrannical policy against Kashmiris and give due regard to their basic rights and also demands unconditional release of all political detainees.
