Rich tributes paid to Kashmiri martyrs
Srinagar, January 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja, has said that the blood of Kashmiri martyrs will not be allowed to go waste. Yasmeen Raja in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of January 21, 1990, Gaw Kadal massacre, January 25, 1990, Handwara massacre and January 27, 1994, Kupwara massacre.
She said that the people of Kashmir could not forget their sacrifices and would continue their mission till complete success. She said that the Indian troops had martyred innocent Kashmiris because they were demanding their right to self-determination.
Yasmeen Raja appealed to the world community to probe the continued human rights violations by Indian troops and police personnel in the occupied territory and bring the perpetrators to justice. The APHC leader said the January 26, the Indian Republic Day, was the black day for Kashmiris. She said that New Delhi had no right to celebrate the day in Kashmir as it had forcibly occupied the territory and had denied the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to over 50 Kashmiris martyred by Indian troops in Gaw Kadal on January 21, 1990. He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would bring positive results.
On the other hand, the General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Haji Ghulam Ahmad Paray in a statement in Srinagar, while paying homage to the Gaw Kadal martyrs, said that India could not suppress the Kashmiris’ liberation movement through use of brute force. He said that the people of Kashmir were committed to the Kashmir cause and they would take the ongoing movement to its logical conclusion, at all costs.
