Srinagar, March 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district on Sunday.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Kashmir conflict continues to suck the blood of humans. He deplored that only the arrogance and deceitful attitude of the oppressor (India) was responsible for this unending bloodshed. However, he reiterated that people of Kashmir would not compromise this sacred mission of their martyrs.

The Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement while paying tributes to Tral martyrs, said that India’s oppressive policies were forcing the Kashmiri youth to the armed struggle against New Delhi’s illegal occupation.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai in his statement said, “More than six lakh people have been till date killed, lakhs of others injured and an economy worth trillions has been lost since 1947 in Jammu and Kashmir due to the unresolved Kashmir dispute.” He added that the gloomy situation had forced the highly qualified youth to fight back and pay the oppressor in the same coin. “They prefer rendering their lives than living a life of slavery,” he said.
Islami Tanzeem Azadi Jammu and Kashmir in its statement also paid tributes to the martyred youth. It also denounced the ill-treatment meted out to the Kashmiri prisoners in Indian jails. The troops killed three youth during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district on Sunday.
