Seminar on bringing Changes in Metropolitan Corporation through training and development
Karachi, June 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said solution of many basic problems lies in overall good governance. People’s benefit and loss must be considered before making key decisions. Learning process continues from mother’s lap to the grave. One can serve the organization and people in a better and effective way with the process of continuous and better training method.
He said this while addressing a seminar held in Civic Center on Wednesday on “Bringing changes in KMC through training and development” by City Institute of Image Management. The speakers of seminar include the Chairperson Pakistan Institute of International Affairs Dr. Masooma Hasan, President Muhammad Ali Jinnah University Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab, Associate Professor IBA Dr. Huma Baqai, Ex Director Pakistan Institute of Image Managemnt Zarrar R. Zubair and Ex Director Training GSK Syed Nusrat Ali.
Administrator Karachi said with regard to education and awareness, the intellectuals and scholars were like a tower of light for any society who had devoted their life for the promotion of knowledge and to create awareness.
He said the government employees could prove themselves worthy for their organization by getting better training in the concerned field and in this way serve the people in a much better way.
Administrator Karachi said the employees in KMC were always encouraged for getting in house and outside training which proved beneficial for the organization and the city. Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab in his address urged the employees of government organizations to believe in honesty and hard work and serve the citizens in a good manner.
He said the administrators should set the examples for others to follow. Honest, well-mannered and hard working staff was an asset for any organization. Dr. Masooma Hasan said training process was a necessity for any organization and a requirement for each and everyone.
This would bring positive change in the society and ensure better service to people. She congratulated KMC for holding such a productive seminar and expressed hope that the training process for KMC officials would continue in future.
Mr. Zarrar R. Zubair addressing the seminar said that the managers were considered the key trainers everywhere as they present themselves as an example for their staff by working selflessly for the betterment of the organization.
He said this model was used in developed countries and they planned to hone the skills of mangers by testing them in challenging situations. Administrator KMC Muhammad Hussain Syed in the end gave KMC memento to guest speakers and thanked them for attending the program.
