Islamabad: Senator Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui, Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Senate of Pakistan, both officials underscored the importance of deepening economic, cultural, and political cooperation. Senator Siddiqui highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fostering regional stability and collaboration with Uzbekistan, particularly in areas such as trade and energy connectivity, where both countries see significant potential.
Ambassador Tukhtaev expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in expanding partnerships and lauded Pakistan’s supportive role in regional initiatives. The officials agreed to pursue strategies for enhancing mutual interests and reinforcing the historical ties shared by the two nations.
