Senator Ghulam Ali appointment as Chairman Senate Standing Committee for Commerce
Islamabad, June 15, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chairman, Senate Standing Committee for Commerce, Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, met with H.E. Dr. Zubadullo N. Zubay Dov, Ambassador of The Republic of Tajikistan, at Islamabad. Tajik Ambassador congratulated Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, on his appointment as Chairman, Senate Standing Committee for Commerce.
He said that in the capacity of President of The Federation of Pakistan, Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), he served a lot to the business community of Pakistan and now being Chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Commerce, he will play a vital role in strengthening the relations between business community of Pakistan and Tajikistan.
He hoped as Senator Haji Ghulam Ali led a big business delegation to Tajikistan in the past, in the same way business delegations will visit Tajikistan in future also. Mirza Abdul Rehman, Vice President-FPCCI was also present on the occasion.
Senator Haji Ghulam Ali thanked His Excellency for his endeavors to strengthening the business relations between the Government of Pakistan and Tajikistan and business community of both the brotherly countries. The trade between both the countries is increasing and due to exchange of trade delegations between both the countries, the friendship relations have been developed.
He said that Pakistani delegation will visit Tajikistan soon in order to increase trade relations. Senator Haji Ghulam Ali appreciated starting of the direct flights between both the countries. He said that it will further enhance trade, cultural and tourism.
He said that people of both the countries have met with each other with the flight of only two hours. He appreciated the efforts of Tajik Ambassador and said that due to his serious efforts to bring the people of both the countries closer to each other, FPCCI has awarded His Excellency with Gold Medal.
Mirza Abdul Rehman, Vice President –FPCI, invited The Ambassador of Tajikistan to visit FPCCI Capital Office Islamabad, which was very kindly accepted by His Excellency. He said that exchange of trade delegations between both the countries will enhance trade and cultural activities. He indicated the hindrance in trade between both the countries.
