Session Judge South Hassan Feroz visits, District Jail Malir 22 Prisoners Released
Karachi: Under the new Judicial Policy of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the District and Session Judge South, Hasan Feroz and Judicial Magistrate M. Jahangir Khan, visited the District Jail Malir yesterday. The General Secretary Haider Ali Haider and Joint Secretary Fateh M. Qureshi besides the Jail Superintendent Syed Nazir Hussain Shah Deputy Superintendent Ali Bux Sheikh and other jail officials were present on the occasion.
He went round various barracks, met the prisoners and acquired about the details of ongoing cases in various courts. He met the prisoners in barracks and listened to their problems and assured them of speedy justice. On the occasion a large number of prisoners presented applications for an early hearing of their cases while many submitted applications for review of the court decisions. During his visit to various barracks, seven such prisoners informed the judge that they have completed their sentence but are in jail because of inability to pay the fined amount. The Chairman Saiban, Haq Nawaz Akhtar and Murad Khan paid the amount of the fine and got them released including other 15 Prisoners who given relaxation few days, thus total 22 prisoners released.
