Srinagar, October 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, along with his party leaders visited Kurso Raj Bagh, Kohan Khan Dalgate, Sonawar and adjacent areas of Srinagar and distributed edible and other items among the flood victims.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah addressing on the occasion said that if India was not rehabilitating the Kashmir itself it should not stop foreign aid coming to the Kashmir Valley as it was impossible to re-settle the Valley without the assistance of international community.

Expressing serious concern over the escalating border tension between Pakistan and India, he said that war was, in no way, the solution to the problem. “Such tensions will have negative impacts upon the flood victims of Kashmir. Rather, the authorities should take swift measures to provide relief to the people for the construction of houses before winter,” he added.

Meanwhile, the HCJK spokesperson in a statement in Srinagar condemned the harassment of Hurriyet leaders by Indian police in Kishtwar. He said that the Hurriyet leaders were being fabricated in false cases. He said that this was nothing but frustration of the authorities and was a totally undemocratic and inhuman act.
