Sindh CM stresses need to invest in livestock sector for food security
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has inaugurated Sindh Institute of Animal Health and a vaccination lab in Karcahi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said investment in livestock sector for food security and poverty alleviation is need of the hour.
The chief minister stressed to control foot and mouth disease in the cattle through vaccination by establishing a vaccine manufacturing plant in the province.
Later talking to newsmen, Syed Murad Ali Shah said he had held a meeting with the Pakistan Cricket Board to rehabilitate Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad.
The chief minister directed Livestock and Fisheries department to introduce a scheme to install refrigeration systems in the storage tanks of the boats fishing in the deep sea to keep the entire catch safe and healthy.
He said after the promulgation of 18th Constitutional amendment, it is now the prime duty of provinces to take efforts for food security and quality food production.
