Karachi:Sindh Governor Syed Nehal Hashmi has underscored the media's crucial contribution to societal development, cultural preservation, and projecting a positive image.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Governor made these remarks during the oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office-bearers of the Pakistan Film and TV Journalists Welfare Association at the Karachi Press Club.

Governor Hashmi noted that film and television journalists play a vital role in covering entertainment and the arts, highlighting societal trends, traditions, and cultural heritage. He emphasized the increased responsibility of the media in the digital age to disseminate positive, constructive, and fact-based information.

The Governor assured that the government is dedicated to safeguarding journalists' rights and enhancing their welfare, pledging full support in addressing their concerns.
