The Sindh government and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have agreed on initiating Green Cooperation Programme in the province.
The agreement was reached at a meeting between USAID Mission Director for Pakistan Reed Aeschliman and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Monday.
It was decided in the meeting that seed, fertilizer and pesticides will also be provided to growers in flood affected areas of the province so that Rabi crops in affected areas could be sown on time.
The USAID assured to extend cooperation with the provincial government in improving water courses in affected areas of the province.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Chief Minister said USAID has always helped people of Sindh and its municipal services and hospital projects are functioning successfully in Jacobabad.
