Ten persons including suspects arrested; narcotics seized
Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested ten persons including five suspects and recovered 32 wine bottles, 400 gram heroin, 630 gram opium and two pistols from them, a police spokesman said.
Station House Officer Aabpara police station Muhammad Hussain Lasi, ASIs Qaisar Niaz, Shafqat Ullah and others arrested five suspects during search operation in the area while four persons were nabbed for their alleged involvement in drug peddling and possessing illegal weapons.
On a tip off, ASI Haider Ali from Secretariat police station arrested a bootlegger for having 32 liquor bottles. Sub-Inspectors Muneer Khan , Ghulam Shabbir and ASI Ali Asghar from Tarnol police station nabbed three accused Jan Ullah, Syed Ali and female Perveen for having 32 bore revolver, 400 gram heroin and 630 gram opium respectively.
Sub-Inspector Abdul Razzaq from Sabzi Mandi police nabbed an accused Ibrahim for having 30 bore pistols and two rounds. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated this performance and further directed to intensify efforts to curb crime.
