Thousands join funeral of martyred youth in Kulgam

Srinagar, December 26, 2012 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of mourners have participated in the funeral processions of two Kashmiri youth, who were martyred by Indian troops in Kulgam district. The mourners while attending the funeral of a martyred youth carried his body during the procession through the village of Yamrash. They chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. A shutdown was also observed in the district in memory of the martyred youth.

Indian troops of Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group had killed the youth identified as Mudassir Ahmad Sheikh and Tamim Ahmad during military operation at Dodhipora in Kulgam. Meanwhile, an Indian trooper was seriously injured in an attack at Neelum Post in Manikote area of Poonch.
