Two Day workshop on Media Exchange Programme for SAARC Countries

Islamabad: External Publicity Wing, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is organizing a two day workshop on 5-6 July 2011 on Media Exchange Programme in collaboration with SAARC Information Centre (SIC) in Islamabad. The delegates from SAARC countries Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives will participate in the said workshop.

The purpose of the Workshop is to establish mechanism for regular media exchange programmes in the region under the umbrella of SAARC on economic, trade, infrastructure, social issue, tourism and culture.

The participants will discuss and chalk out a unanimous agenda to explore further possibilities to enhance the number of media exchanges programme on rotational and reciprocal basis among SAARC Countries in order to bring the people closer to each other, especially where these are lacking. The SAARC delegates would also visit PTVC studies and other places during their two day stay in Islamabad.
