Palestine has urged the United States to play its important role in stopping the unilateral Israeli measures, especially killing of innocent people and destroying buildings in territories, mainly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
This was stated by Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein al-Sheikh, during his meeting with Barbara A. Leaf, the visiting US Assistant Secretary for Eastern Affairs in Ramallah.
