Islamabad: The World Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to support Pakistan in achieving long-term development goals through sustained engagement, strategic financing, and technical expertise. This commitment was expressed during a meeting between Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Khan Cheema, and Country Director of the World Bank, Bolormaa Amgaabazar, held in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Country Director of the World Bank expressed confidence that with consistent efforts, Pakistan can unlock stronger investment, enhanced productivity, and inclusive growth. The discussion during the meeting focused on the key outcomes of the Country Partnership Framework (CPF), a 10-year framework for Pakistan with support amounting to 20 billion dollars for development projects and reform programs.
On the occasion, Ahad Khan Cheema emphasized that the Federal Government and all provincial governments are committed to implementing the CPF and achieving its intended outcomes. The Minister appreciated the continued support of the World Bank Group and reiterated the government’s resolve to ensure continuity of policy and the effective implementation of reforms.
