Zafar Butt hails Kashmiris for observing Black Day
Srinagar, January 27, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader, Zafar Akbar Butt, has hailed the Kashmiris for observing the Indian Republic Day as Black Day. Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a gathering at Newa in Pulwama said that India had no right to celebrate its Republic Day in occupied Kashmir as it had deprived the people of Kashmir of their basic rights including the right to self-determination. He said that the Kashmiris would take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion at all costs as they had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the Kashmir cause.
The APHC leader criticised the occupation authorities for suspending telecommunication service in the valley without any notice on Indian Republic Day. He also welcomed the recommendations for review of draconian law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), by Justice JS Verma committee, and castigated India for its negative approach to the proposals.
He said that the Kashmir settlement was possible through tripartite talks participated by Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership. He demanded repeal of black laws and complete withdrawal of Indian troops from the territory.
Zafar Butt also paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs including those killed in the massacres of Sopore, Gaw Kadal, Handwara and Kupwara reiterating that their mission would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs.
