IG Punjab has fulfilled the long-standing demand of CTD personnel, service structure is ready for departmental promotions of CTD personnel

Lahore, April 12, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has fulfilled the long-standing demand of officials serving in the Counter-Terrorism Department Punjab (CTD) and signed the service structure for departmental promotions of CTD officials.

After the signature of IG Punjab, Additional IG CTD Waseem Ahmed Sial has sent the new service structure to the Punjab government for approval. In a message issued to the police force, IG Punjab said that on the occasion of the visit to the CTD headquarters on Friday evening, the officials had talked about the problem of service structure, on which he gave the Additional IG CTD a deadline to prepare the service structure within this week.

The Additional IG CTD and his team have worked hard for 48 hours to prepare the proposal and under this new service structure, hundreds of posts from grade 14 to grade 19 have been proposed. Additional IG CTD Waseem Ahmed Sial said that in the new service structure twelve seats of grade 14 have been increased to 320, six seats of grade 16 have been increased to 72 and three seats of grade 17 have been increased to 12. Addl IG CTD said that in the new service structure, 8 new posts of Grade 18 and 2 new posts of Additional Director in Grade 19 have been created.

In a message to the force, Dr. Usman Anwar further said that after the approval of the new service structure from the government, the process of departmental promotions in CTD will start immediately and every officer and official eligible for promotion according to merit and seniority will have the basic right of departmental promotion.

IG Punjab said that the role of CTD is key in eradicating terrorism from the country. IG Punjab said that there will be no hindrance in the promotions of CTD officials and in response to these promotions, the CTD department requires the employees to perform their duties with renewed enthusiasm. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the CTD officials should work harder than before and complete the task of eradicating terrorists, miscreants and their facilitators from the province.

Further, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar presided over a video link meeting at the Central Police Office to review the performance of all protection centers in the province and ordered the AIG Admin to immediately resolve the problems faced by the protection center staff.

IG Punjab said that it is the joint responsibility of society and police to help and protect vulnerable citizens, homeless children, women victims of gender crimes and members of the transgender community.

IG Punjab said that protection centers established in all districts of the province should play an active role in serving and protecting the suffering humanity by doing unique work of community policing and providing relief to transgenders, homeless children and women victims of violence.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that the homeless children should be transferred to safe places with the support of Child Protection Bureau, CARE Foundation and other organizations so that they can become useful citizens of the society by being equipped with good education. IG Punjab said that all possible legal and social support should be provided to women victims of domestic violence, harassment and gender crimes in collaboration with relevant institutions.

IG Punjab said that special homeless people suffering from mental problems should be entrusted to public and private institutions for treatment and rehabilitation so that their problems can be solved by providing timely medical assistance.

IG Punjab emphasized that steps should be taken to get rid of homeless children and youngsters from the scourge of drug addiction and Punjab Police should take joint measures in collaboration of institutions with which the MoU has been signed and rehabilitation work should be speeded up for protecting maximum children from the scourge of drugs.

In the video link meeting held at the Central Police Office, the in-charges and Victim Support Officers of all the protection centers of the province gave a briefing about their performance. The third day of Katcha operation under the supervision of Ig Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the advancement of fresh police squads Continue

Lahore, April 12, 2023 (PPI-OT):The grand operation of the Punjab Police against the criminal elements in Katcha is underway and the police forces are continuing to advance in the inner areas of Katcha whereas the exchange of fire is going on intermittently. While advancing towards Katcha Karachi and Katchi Haiderabad, hundreds of acres of land have been retrieved by police.

The dacoits fired heavily on the police force, in response to which the police teams also took effective action and two dangerous dacoits were killed during exchange of fire. The killed dacoits were identified as Bakhtiar and Muazzam alias Telu, the killed dacoits were found to be related to the Machhi gang and on checking the records, both the dacoits were found to have records of more than a dozen cases.

Two Kalashnikovs and several rounds were also recovered from the dead dacoits. Both dacoits were involved in serious crimes like attacks on police, robbery, dacoity and kidnapping for ransom. Additional IG South Punjab Maqsood ul Hassan, DIG CTD Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani and RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed visited the operational area while DPO Rahim Yar Khan Rizwan Umar Gondal is commanding the operation.

According to the details, under the leadership of IG Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, according to the heat map, a grand operation of the police had started to clean Katcha from criminal elements, which has entered the third day. One dacoit was killed and six dacoits were arrested during past three days. Meanwhile, police are also making advancement in Katcha.

Yesterday, the police were continuing their operations towards Katcha Karachi and Katchi Hyderabad areas, in which hundreds of acres of land were cleared of criminal elements and writ of the state has also been established. DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal is commanding the ongoing police operation while he is accompanied by ASP Shahzeb Chachar circle SHOs and armored vehicles, modern weapons.

A heavy contingent of dedicated police and elite forces are advancing, police have demolished the lairs of criminals in areas cleared of criminal elements and burnt them down so that they can never be inhabited again.

Meanwhile, Additional IG South Punjab Maqsoodul Hasan, DIG CTD Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani along with RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed visited the operation area and reviewed the ongoing operations, performance and overall situation of the police.

RPO Rai Babar Saeed briefed them, the police officers praised the police performance for the high morale of the jawans and the force for clearing sufficient area of Katcha in just three days. In order to make this operation successful, modern technical means and the support of all security agencies will be continued as per the heat map. The third session of the promotion board for promotion from inspector to DSP rank was held today at the central police office

Lahore, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):On the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the promotion board meeting for promotion from inspector to DSP rank was held today at the Central Police Office in which 58 inspectors were approved for promotion to the rank of DSP. According to details, this was the third session of the promotion board for promotion from inspector to DSP rank during twenty days. Earlier, 107 inspectors were promoted to the posts of DSP in two meetings of the promotion board held at the Central Police Office.

Dr. Usman Anwar said in his message to the officers that he is grateful to the Election Commission and the Punjab Government, whose approval made it possible to promote DSPs from inspectors. IG Punjab said that there are currently 30 vacancies for promotion from Inspector to DSP rank which will be filled very soon.

He said that the officers who have not yet completed their ACRs should complete them as soon as possible so that their names can be included in the upcoming promotion board meeting. IG Punjab encouraged the dutiful officers and employees of PHP for their excellent performance

Lahore, April 11, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the teams of Punjab Highway Patrol should perform their duties diligently in the spirit of Jihad and service to humanity to prevent highway crime by effective patrolling in their beat areas. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that along with prevention of crimes, measures should be continued on a priority basis to help and guide citizens and reduce rate of accidents by strict compliance of the traffic rules.

IG Punjab said that PHP is the representative force of Punjab Police on the central and inter-district roads of the province, which keeps itself active to protect the life and property of citizens, prevent accidents and ensure smooth flow of traffic. PHP police also diligently performs duties as first responder force in beat areas. He expressed these views while encouraging PHP officers and personnel with awards for their excellent performance in the Central Police Office.

According to the details, IG Punjab gave cash prizes along with certificates of appreciation to 56 PHP employees who performed their best duties. Among the recipients of the prizes were 15 sub-inspectors, 14 ASIs, 11 heads Constables and 16 constables Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Rawalpindi regions and they were awarded 10,000 each and certificates of appreciation.

IG Punjab instructed the officers and jawans who received the awards to perform their duties with more hard work and diligence. Under the leadership of IG Punjab, a grand police operation is underway in Rahim Yar Khan Katcha Area

Lahore, April 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Punjab Police under the leadership of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has commenced an operation to clean up dangerous criminal gangs and criminals from the Rahim Yar Khan Katcha area. On first day of the operation, police teams have arrested dacoits and destroyed several ambush sites, the dacoits attacked the convoy of IG Punjab and opened fire on the police team, during which the gunman head constable of RPO Bahawalpur was injured in the exchange of fire. He has been shifted to Lahore for better care after first medical aid.

In the exchange of fire, one dangerous dacoit was killed while 6 others have been arrested. According to the details, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar himself reached the Katcha area in Rahim Yar Khan and personally supervised the police grand operation in the Kacha area.

IG Punjab said that he is leading operation started on the orders of the National Security Council, the operation has started with the cooperation of all the law enforcement agencies and two thousand soldiers have been sent from Punjab for the operation.

Whereas a total of 11 thousand police jawans are participating in the operation. IG Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, RPO Bahawalpur Rai Saeed Babar and DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal while talking to media representatives at DPO Office Raheem Yar Khan said that all the political and military leadership are on same page for this operation.

However, this heat map has been prepared for operation in which the criminals and anti-state elements who use various tactics to achieve their nefarious purposes in Katcha area and are also involved in terrorist activities will be completely eradicated, even after the completion of this operation, the police will remain present in these areas for the writ of the government and rule of law and all the ways of the criminal elements will disappear.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Police outposts of Katcha area have been fully restored while advancement is being made to clear the interior areas. He said that intelligence-based operations were going on earlier, while today the operation is being launched to clear the interior areas.

IG Punjab said that Sindh Police is also starting operations in their areas. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the rule of law and writ of the state will be restored by completely eradicating the hideouts of criminals from the Katcha area.

IG Punjab said that the enthusiasm and morale of the police jawans is very high and anti-social elements will be eliminated permanently. RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed and DPO Bahawalpur Rizwan Umar Gondal also arrived with IG Punjab in Katcha area. IG Punjab said that modern weapons and armoured vehicles will also be used in the operation and the criminals will be completely wiped out by bringing the operation to its logical conclusion.

More than 5,000 police personnel from other districts including PC have left for Rahim Yar Khan to participate in the operation. IG Punjab said that the rule of law and writ of the state will be established with the complete elimination of criminal gangs in the area of Katcha. In the operation, IG Police Dr. Usman Anwar along with RPO Rai Babar Saeed, DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal and ASP Shahzeb Chachar commanded the police force while remaining at the front.

Apart from this, IG Punjab declared the recovery of two children in Khanpur as a manifestation of the police’s outstanding skills and professionalism and announced to give a cash reward of 12 lakh rupees and certificates of appreciation to DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal and the team.

IG Punjab visited Jinnah Hospital Lahore, visited two personnel who were injured in the firing by dacoits in Chung

Lahore, April 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that CTD is the vanguard of Punjab Police in the fight against terrorists, due to its effective and timely operations, the nefarious intentions of terrorists and extremist elements have been crushed and many dangerous terrorists were arrested.

IG Punjab directed that the mission of permanent eradication of terrorists should be carried out with renewed determination and the terrorists as well as their facilitators should be brought under the grip of the law. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that strict legal action should not be delayed for the violation of the laws framed in connection with the National Action Plan and the activities of banned organizations and persons included in the Fourth Schedule should be closely monitored.

Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that elements involved in terrorism, sectarianism, tarnishing of peace and extremism should be stamped out. Dr. Usman Anwar said that there will be no reduction in the provision of modern resources and facilities to the CTD teams.

IG Punjab said that the way you arrested 70 terrorists in more than 300 intelligence-based operations this year is commendable. Punjab highway patrol released the first quarterly performance report 2023 this year

Lahore, April 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):PHP teams under the supervision of Additional IG Punjab Highway Patrol Abdul Kareem are working day and night to protect the life and property of people on the roads and to enforce traffic rules. Additional IGP PHP said that the PHP teams are performing their duties more diligently to prevent accidents on the highways, legal action is being taken against those guilty of violating laws including over speeding, illegal number plates.

He said that priority measures are being taken to prevent highway crime while at the same time, lectures are being conducted in educational institutions and other public places for awareness of road safety and traffic laws. According to the details, PHP has released the first quarterly report, performance report 2023, according to which, during the first three months of this year, PHP provided various types of assistance to 6223 commuters suffering from travel difficulties and First Aid was provided to 467 people injured in various accidents.

Similarly, 120 missing children were reunited with their parents. Punjab Highway Patrol arrested 1968 criminals including 46 category A, 837 category B and 1085 court absconders through e-police app. A total of 3348 cases have been registered, in which 2678 cases have been registered for speeding on highways, installation of green number plate and blue light, violation of sound act, installation of bogus number plate and violation of other traffic laws.

15 Kalashnikovs, 23 rifles, 20 guns and 217 pistols were recovered by registering 287 cases for possession and display of illegal weapons. After registering 383 cases of drug trafficking, 101 kg of charas, 2 kg of heroin, more than 13 kg of opium and 4454 liters of alcohol were recovered from possession of accused.

Moreover, 868 temporary and permanent encroachments were dismantled by taking action against illegal encroachments to maintain the flow of traffic on the roads. Additional IGP PHP Abdul Kareem directed officers and personnel to perform their duties with more diligence and said that the protection of life and property of the people and selfless service is the motto of PHP under which concrete steps should be taken for safety of human lives.

IG Punjab distributed cash prizes of around 20 lac rupees and certificates of appreciation to 57 employees of Gujranwala region for their excellent performance

Lahore, April 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar continues to encourage the police officers who have performed outstanding duties with awards and in this regard, 57 officers and officials of Gujranwala region were awarded 2 million rupees in cash and commendation certificates in the ceremony held at the Central Police Office.

The recipients of the awards included 5 inspectors, 26 sub-inspectors and 6 ASIs, 3 head constables and 26 constables of Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin and Narowal police. Among those who received the prizes also included three Ghazis who were injured by bullets in the encounter with the robbers, whose bravery and commitment were strongly encouraged by IG Punjab.

IG Punjab while addressing the officers and personnel who received the awards said that encouraging the officers and personnel with excellent performance is a good tradition of Punjab Police. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the employees who perform their duties under the spirit of service and jihad are valuable assets of department, all employees should speed up process of eradicating crimes and suppressing criminals with same enthusiasm.

IG Punjab emphasized that no effort should be spared to provide justice and help the oppressed, especially widows, poor and helpless. Dr. Usman Anwar said that combing and intelligence-based operations should be continued on a daily basis to eliminate drug and organized crime and the accused should be arrested and punished.

Moreover, on the direction of IG Punjab, the regular and time scale promotion of police employees is also going on. In this regard, under the supervision of Additional IG Training Tariq Rustam Chohan, the Training Directorate of Punjab Police has approved the time scale promotion of 59 employees serving in training institutions.

Among those who have been promoted are the employees of Police Training College Chung Lahore, Multan, Farooqabad and Sargodha training schools. AIG Training has issued promotion notification of employees under time scale policy.

IG Punjab reiterated that departmental promotion according to merit and seniority is the fundamental right of every employee which will be given to him without delay. Dr. Usman Anwar directed all unit heads to hold promotion board meetings regularly in their respective units and the notifications should be sent to the Central Police Office after promoting eligible employees to next posts.
