Pakistan’s veteran Umpire Aleem Dar has stepped down from the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires.

He officiated in a record number of international cricket matches during his distinguished career.

Aleem’s first international match as an Elite Panel umpire was in 2002 and a year later, he stood in the 2003 World Cup in South Africa.

In a tweet today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated Aleem Dar for his meritorious services to international cricket. The Prime Minister said Aleem Dar’s flawless umpiring across all formats of the game has won praise across the cricketing world. Pakistan is proud of him.

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Attaullah Tarar says PTI’s move to create chaos is aimed at avoiding and delaying cases against Imran Khan.

Talking to news men in Islamabad on Saturday, he said even today, Imran Khan used delaying tactics to blame law enforcement agencies and avoid appearing before the court. He said for the first time in history, workers of a political party fired tear gas shells at Police.

On his twitter handle, he said “from using people as human shields to throwing petrol bombs at police, to leading ‘jathas’ to intimidate judiciary, Imran Khan has taken a leaf out of the RSS book.

Federal Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has refused to surrender himself before the law.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Saturday, he said Imran Khan again came to the judicial complex with armed men.

The Minister said PTI Chairman committed dishonesty in declarations of the election commission and his attitude is open rebellion against the state institutions.
