Islamabad: Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Musadik Malik has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to develop a transparent and inclusive carbon market aligned with the global climate agenda. Speaking during a meeting with the delegation of “Supporting Preparedness for Article 6 Cooperation” in Islamabad today, he emphasized Pakistan’s determination to strengthen its institutional and technical readiness for effective participation in international carbon markets under Article six of the Paris Agreement.

According to Radio Pakistan, Musadik highlighted the importance of aligning national efforts with global best practices. He underscored the need to deepen partnerships with both international collaborators and the domestic private sector to ensure the successful implementation of carbon market strategies. The minister’s remarks reflect Pakistan’s proactive approach to contributing to global climate solutions while fostering economic development through sustainable practices.
