Islamabad: Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Cheema has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to work closely with the World Bank’s country team to ensure effective implementation of the Country Partnership Framework.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahad Cheema expressed his appreciation for the World Bank’s substantial commitment of twenty billion US dollars under the CPF. He emphasized that the World Bank remains Pakistan’s largest development partner and has been instrumental in supporting the development efforts of the government.
During a meeting in Islamabad with Ousmane Dione, the Regional Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan (MENAAP) at the World Bank, both parties reiterated their dedication to a robust and forward-looking development partnership. Ousmane Dione assured that the World Bank is committed to aiding Pakistan in achieving its development objectives, furthering the collaborative efforts between the two entities.
