Pakistan Committed to Protect Human Rights Envisaged in Constitution: Azam

Islamabad: Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to upholding human rights as envisaged in the Constitution and aligned with international obligations. He expressed these views during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Pakistan, Henny Fokel de Vries.

According to Radio Pakistan, Azam Nazeer Tarar briefed the Ambassador on Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives aimed at countering intolerance and promoting social cohesion. These initiatives are part of the broader efforts to ensure that human rights are protected and respected throughout the country.

During the meeting, the Federal Minister praised the outgoing ambassador for her pivotal role in enhancing bilateral relations and fostering deeper cooperation between Pakistan and the Netherlands. The discussion highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to promote human rights and strengthen mutual ties.
