CM directs to take strict action against hoarders

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the concerned authorities to take strict action against hoarders and illegal profiteers across the province without any discrimination.

In a statement on Friday, he directed the administration and concerned officials to come out in the field and actively work to provide relief to the public.

The Chief Minister said the Provincial Cabinet Committee on Price Control should ensure provision of essential commodities on prescribed rates.

KP govt to impart skill development training to over 5500 youth in merged districts

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has chalked out a skill development programme for over 5500 youth of the merged districts.

Under the programme, free training would be imparted to the youth in tourism, technical fields and IT businesses through KP Information Technology Board and KP Education and Vocational Training Authority.

An official of KP Information Department informed that the Provincial Development Working Party has already approved 1.4 billion rupees for the project while TEVTA has started two-year Paramedics training courses.

Sindh govt starts radio broadcast for farmers of province: Manzoor Wassan

Agriculture Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh, Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said the Sindh government started radio broadcasts for the farmers of the province in three major cities.

In a statement, he said radio broadcasting has been started in Hyderabad, Larkana and Khairpur. The Regional Directors of the Department of Agriculture will oversee the Radio Broadcasting in the three cities.

The Sindh Agriculture Department has started a program in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mithi districts to control food and cultivate vegetables for the deserving class, which has provided more than 1500 kitchen garden kits to poor women farmers.

GB Govt working on 218 projects to uplift education sector

The Gilgit-Baltistan government is implementing 218 development schemes, including 103 ongoing and 115 new schemes, for development of the education sector.

According to the annual development program of current year, an amount of over four billion rupees will be spent on the projects.

In the current ADP, 4800 million rupees have been allocated.

Government has planned to introduce IT education for the first time in educational institutions.

In seven tehsils, technical centers would be established to impart technical education.

Forty seven more girls primary schools and sixteen boys primary schools will be set up in those areas where literacy rate is low.

DG PBC vows to provide every possible support to News Wing

Director General Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Asim Khichi has expressed the resolve to provide every possible support to the News Wing of the organization to enhance quality of the content.

In an interaction with the officials of News Wing in Islamabad on Friday, he said the News Wing will be equipped with the latest technological gadgets.

Appreciating performance of the News Wing, Social Media and Current Affairs, the Director General said Radio Pakistan has been presenting the state narrative in an effective manner.

He commended the staff for a timely and responsible coverage of the evolving situation in Afghanistan, particularly the reports of the PBC correspondent from Kabul, in news bulletins, social media and current affairs programmes.

The Director General listened to the issues of the staff members and assured to resolve them.
