PTI played havoc with national economy: Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said that the incompetent PTI government wasted precious four years of the country in addition to abandoning game changer China-Pakistan Economic Corridor related projects.

Addressing an Eid Milan party in Faisalabad, he said the PTI played havoc with the economy through most unstable and everyday changing tax policies, which plunged the country into the quagmire of inflation.

The Interior Minister said PTI only painted a rosy picture and made false promises which proved a total failure.

He said the burden of foreign loans had become unbearable only because of ill-conceived policies of the PTI.

Rana Sana Ullah said that Nawaz Sharif had served the masses and gifted landmark project of motorway. He also made Pakistan invincible through nuclear tests while, on other hand, the PTI neither conceived nor materialized any major project for welfare, progress and prosperity of the country.

Incident of Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW) planned by Imran Khan, Rashid: SAPM Hanif Abbasi

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi says the heartbreaking incident of Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAW) was planned at the behest of PTI Chief Imran Khan.

Talking to media in Rawalpindi, he also termed the former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and his nephew Rashid Shafique responsible for the tragic incident.

Hanif Abbasi said no compromise will be made on the respect of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He said such violation of the sanctity of Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) has never happened before in history.

Finance Minister appreciates FBR for achieving 28.7% growth in revenues

Minister for Finance and Revenue, Miftah Ismail has appreciated the Federal Board of Revenue for achieving 28.7 percent growth in revenues.

In a tweet, he expressed the hope that with the right mix of policies and tools, the FBR team would perform better and to the expectations of the nation.

The Finance Minister said FBR has collected 5122 billion rupees in current fiscal year, up from 3981 billion rupees during same period of last year.

Pakistan, UAE reaffirm commitment to strengthen economic & trade ties

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen their economic and trade relations.

The understanding was reached during a meeting the other day between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

The two leaders agreed to build partnerships and accelerate cooperation in the areas of investment, economic development, energy, infrastructure and agriculture.

Discussing the regional and international matters of mutual interests, the two leaders decided to maintain close contact for a united stand at international forums including the United Nations and the OIC.

The Crown Prince assured collective and effective efforts to strengthen bilateral relationship in the interest of future generations of two countries.

He recognized the contributions made by Pakistani community in the development of the UAE.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said both the UAE and Pakistan have always stood by each other in difficult times and they will continue to extend cooperation in the future as well. He underlined the need for greater people to people contacts between the two fraternal countries.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to the UAE for its consistent support to Pakistan at bilateral level and the international forums.

The Prime Minister was appreciative of the UAE for initiating several public welfare projects under Pakistan Assistance Program and the assistance provided by it during Covid-19 pandemic.

Shehbaz Sharif said that one point seven million Pakistanis in the UAE are not only a bridge between the two countries but also a pride of Pakistan.

PM, UAE Crown Prince discuss bilateral, regional, int’l issues

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

The two leaders held extensive consultations on a range of bilateral, regional and international issues.

Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reached home after three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia.

At his return to the home, the Prime Minister had a brief stoppage at Abu Dhabi.

During his stay in Abu Dhabi, Shehbaz Sharif was warmly received by Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ahead of their meeting at Royal Palace, Qasr-e Al-Shatie.

People facing high inflation & unemployment due to Imran’s incompetence: Info Minister

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said former Prime Minister Imran Khan has failed to prove a single penny of corruption and money laundering and misuse of authority against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in last four years.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday afternoon, she said Imran Khan put his political opponents in jails and detained them in death cells but he could not prove anything wrong against them in a court of law.

She said Imran Khan kept busy in using NAB, Federal Investigation Agency and other government authorities to victimize political opponents and did not pay any attention to mitigate the sufferings of the people of Pakistan. She said people are facing high inflation and unemployment in the country due to incompetence of Imran Khan.

The Minister said it is the people of Pakistan, who through their elected representatives, voted out Imran Khan from power. She said what an irony it is that Imran Khan is defending his front-person Farah Gogi, whose assets surged to billions of rupees.

Talking about the corruption of Imran Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb said Imran Khan retained gifts from Tosha Khana as well as expensive BMW vehicle worth 150 million rupees. She said a pistol gifted by a foreign dignitary was even not listed with the Tosha Khana and Imran Khan retained that with him illegally.

Mentioning recent incident at Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, the Minister said indecent sloganeering made on the behest of Imran Khan. She said Imran Khan is involved in inciting violence in the society. She said she is eye witness that people sent by Imran Khan were inciting others to raise slogans and hurl abuses on her in the courtyard of Masjid-e-Nabvi.

Highlighting the successful tours of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Marriyum Aurangzeb said for the first time Islamabad and Riyadh is going to forge strategic partnership. She said Finance Minister Miftah Ismail is still staying back in Saudi Arabia to finalize future framework of cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. She said Imran Khan is not digesting the reception and warmth accorded to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his visit to KSA and UAE.

Answering a question, the Minister said the law will take its course if anyone violates the law.

Interior Minister condemns incident at Masjid e Nabvi (SAWW)

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has strongly condemned the recent deplorable incident at Masjid e Nabvi (SAWW), declaring that the government will not create hurdle if any citizen wants to take any legal action against the accused culprits.

He was addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, along with Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar.

He said that this tragic incident has caused shock and sorrow all around. He said that FIRs have been registered and all concerned quarters have been directed to take action on merit in accordance with law.

He said that PTI’ call for protest on Chaand Raat is beyond understanding. He said action will be taken against all persons who will take law into their own hands.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar any Pakistani citizen can be prosecuted inside Pakistan, who is accused of any offence abroad. He clarified that FIRs have not been registered under Blasphemy law.

He said that the Government cannot sit silent on the insult of holy worship places. He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed not to take action against any innocent person, not involved in this deplorable incident.

To a question, regarding the oath taking of the new Punjab Chief Minister, the Law Minister praised the restraint shown by the judiciary on the oath-taking issue.

So-called Afghan letter to UNSC president about alleged Pakistani airstrikes ‘ignored’: Ambassador Akram

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram has said that a letter written by the so-called Chargé d’Affaires of the Afghan Mission to the United Nations sent to the UN Security Council President about alleged cross-border Pakistani airstrikes, has been ignored.

In a statement, he said the so-called Afghan Chargé d’affaires represents no one and has no locus standi to speak for Afghanistan.

The letter, addressed to the UN Security Council President, Barbara Woodwards, was signed by Naseer Ahmad Faiq as Chargé d’Affaires of the Afghan mission, which is still run by appointees of the ousted President Ashraf Ghani’s regime because the United Nations has still not extended recognition to Taliban government.

Suhail Shaheen, who was named by Taliban as Ambassador to the United Nations, has not been able to assume his post in New York.
