Islamabad, March 20, 2023 (PPI-OT):Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says democratic leaders always practice dialogue rather than resorting to violence. Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, he said PTI Chief Imran Khan has been disseminating hate and creating chaos in the country.

He said PTI villains attacked institutions including judiciary and security forces in Islamabad and Lahore. Ahsan Iqbal requested the Supreme Court to take notice of the violence and ransacking at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad by the PTI crooks. He said Imran Khan wants bloodshed and anarchy in the country and is responsible for prevailing economic situation.

He said a conspiracy is being hatched to destabilize the state through attacking the state institutions. The Minister said strict action will be taken against those who took law into their hands in Lahore and attacked police and other law enforcing agencies. Replying to a question pertaining to the deal with International Monetary Fund, he said Imran Khan sabotaged inking deal with the IMF, but due to the hectic efforts of the incumbent government, a good news in this connection will be shared with the nation soon.

Pakistan asks India to investigate custodial death of Kashmiri leader Altaf Shah

Pakistan has asked India to immediately investigate the custodial death of Kashmiri leader Altaf Ahmed Shah and hold to account all those responsible for the tragedy.

 

Speaking at the weekly press briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said we are deeply saddened at the inhuman custodial death of Hurriyat leader Altaf Ahmed Shah, who remained imprisoned in the infamous Tihar Jail for the last five years.

 

He said the Indian Charge d’ Affaires in Islamabad was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and conveyed Pakistan’s strong protest over the death of Altaf Ahmed Shah caused by Indian government’s deliberate negligence, and utter disregard for human rights.

 

The spokesperson also strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of two more Kashmiris in fresh acts of state-sponsored terrorism by Indian occupation forces in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

No compromise to be made on law and order situation: CM KP

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan says no compromise will be made on the restoration of peace in the province.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar today (Monday), he directed the concerned authorities to take effective steps to stop the target killing incidents on police and security forces.

Mahmood Khan also directed an intelligence based operation against miscreants in the province.

The Chief Minister said special attention should be given against extortionists and drug dealers.
