The meeting of the Gilgit-Baltistan cabinet was held in Gilgit, Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed in the chair approved the Local Self-Governance Act.
Cabinet decided that Tehsil, Union and District Councils will be given ample resources and powers to solve local problems so that people’s problems are solved at their doorsteps.
The cabinet approved Gilgit-Baltistan Town Planning and Building Control Regulations 2022, Financial and administrative restructuring of Gilgit-Baltistan Waste Management Company.
The meeting also approved to appoint four thousand teachers in colleges and schools.
